アゾレス諸島のピコ島にあるピコ山がポルトガルにおける標高の最高地点です。しかし、ポルトガルで一番高い所にある交番は、ピコ山にではなく、この写真のSerra da Estrela（エストレーラ山脈）にあります。この山脈の名前は、ポルトガル語で「星の山脈」を意味し、アルヴォコ・ダ・セーラの村にあります。
A Montanha do Pico na Ilha do Pico em Açores é o ponto mais alto em Portugal, porém há um posto policial bem no topo da montanha. A Serra da Estrela possui a distinção de ter o posto policial mais alto do país. O posto policial fica na vila de Alvoco da Serra.
Mount Pico on Pico Island in the Azores is the highest point in Portugal, but there is no police station high up on Mount Pico. Serra da Estrela, which is Mountain Range of the Star in English, has the distinction of having the highest police station in the country. The police station is in the village of Alvoco da Serra.
